We are driving to the South of France in August, then heading to Girona Spain for a week before returning home.

We are looking to stay close to Nice for a couple of days because We want to go to Cannes, Monaco and Nice.

Any suggestions on what to go and see.

Thanks

The Casino Royale, Monaco......The beach, Nice and many more attractions

Get a toll pass from Sanef for the French roads, makes life so much easier.

Went to Monaco in the summer and it was well worth it, I’ll be going back at some point. Plenty of places to stop off on the way there and back too.

Prince’s car museum in Monaco is well worth a visit.

The Sanef is a very good point. How do you apply for one?

The boys will enjoy the museum. I’ll take a look.

Thanks

saneftolling.co.uk will allow you to buy your tag. There’s an initial fee and an annual fee but other than that you just pay for what you use. If you send it back after you’re done with it then you get most of your money back.

If you’re planning on going to Paris then don’t forget you’ll need a Crit’Air sticker. You need to scan your log book and so they can verify your emissions. Assuming you have an Audi then I doubt the log book bears any resemblance to the real life emissions but never mind.

If you’re driving through Switzerland then you’re gonna need a Vignette. It depends which route you’ll be taking to drive down. If you go down through the Swiss and French alps then it’s well worth it.

Grasse, Avignon, route Napoleon, Aix en Provence.

Tbf I would avoid all this ostentatious and expensive crap in August and favour the other South of France, the one where foreign tourists don't go and where everything is half the price and the beaches 100 times the size. South of Bordeaux : Arcachon, Pyla, Lacanau area, Hossegor, Biarritz. Much easier to cross to Spain too.

I’ve given up on Audi, well new ones. I still have my 96 cabriolet, but we’ll be taking the W212 estate.

At the moment we are heading from home to just south of Paris. The following day we are heading to the south coat via Millau Viaduct. Spend a couple of days there then head to Spain for a week.

The killer journey will be from Empuriabrava back to Paris. I can’t decide whether to head north or south because the next day we’ll be returning to Berkshire.

Yeah, I know what your saying but I’ve always wanted to go to these places even if it’s just once.
