Sounds like a police siren

    When im driving in between 1000 and 2000rpm,either accelerating or decellerating i hear a noise i can only describe as like a police siren in the distance,is this normal on a tdi or is there something wrong???

    You haven't run over a motorbike plod on your journey into work have you? Check for blue flashing lights between the radiator and the bumper.

    something is wrong have you lost any power? you may have a split pipe somewhere

    Dont feel like ive lost any power,i will have a look at the pipes while im checking for pc plod.

    Might be a daft question but do i need to look at the small pipes aswell as the big ones from the turbo???

    Ive checked all the pipes big and small and there is no leaks.The noise seems to be coming from the inlet manifold area???

    there are a few small vag pipes under the inlet manifold and a green ball thing it maybe one of them or the inlet to head gasket
