Sory Wheel ofset query......

    apologies guys had a bit of a search but couldnt find a 100% anwser though my lack-of-search-foo may be to blame.

    I believe the Avant is a standard offset of ET35 but the wheels ive got are at ET45.
    am i correct in thinking Spacers would be a good idea to reduce the ET a little and if so what size sould i be looking for?.

    A very common question. Spacers will reduce your resuktant ET: ET45 + 10mm spacers = ET35, ET45 + 12mm spacers = ET33, etc etc.

    Standard offset for the A4 is ET43, so 12 mm spacers on an ET45 would give ET33 which would be 10mm wider stance than standard. Generally the 'best' ET for the A4 is somewhere between ET32 & ET35, but it's personal preference as much as anything

    Will prob stick some 10mm spacers all round then look like a good starting place....

    sorry to sound like an absolute doughnut here, but i've never used spacers before, so i was wondering, do you have to get longer wheel bolts?

    your are welcome to slap me in the face...
