& now have both ABS associated warnings coming on now and again...so, If I wanted to remove the electrical connector on the ABS unit, to invest for water ingress/cleaning, what precautions would I have to take beforehand to prevent any damage to either the unit or vehicle...??

Ta again

Mo.

right had a looksie, the main connector is in fact very well shielded from water input indeed, all contacts look clean and also dry.
Back together and no ABS warning light on ign and engine start up. Went for a drive, found that the warning triggered when going over some rough farm track so need to find someone local to scan it and hopefully narrow things down a bit-any takers? lol..

I doubt overfilling the water reservoir will do this. More than likely its the sensor at the hub. Easier to remove the driveshaft than trying to prize the sensor out. Getting it scanned is the way to go.
