Kit List is as follows.

Nikon D70
Lens - Nikon 18-70mm, Nikon 50mm f/1.8, Sigma 28-300mm
Using Cokin filter system with ND4 and ND light grad filters and also a Hoya circ polarising filter.
Kenro Tripod.

Most shots were taken with the 18-70mm, the footprints railings etc were taken with the 50mm lens...

Going to New York in April, so will be getting a D80 and a 18-200mm VR2 nikon lens..

How do you rate the Nikon 50mm prime? Considering getting the 1.4 version myself.

The 50mm prime overall is very good. Its very sharp and is good at f/1.8 so I'm sure the f1.4 is even better... for a £50 lens its hard to beat.. It makes you think about your photos more as you can't just zoom in and out... hope that is of some use..

Really nice shots mate, some good Depth of Field examples there too. Nice one.

Cheers, the depth of field on the 50mm nikon lens is super, makes it easy to play with..
