Hi all.

It's been a long time away from this forum. Well I'm back and looking for a bit of fun.

I'm looking for a 2nd car and I'm thinking mk1 TT coupe (225 like my old S3).

But what I really want to know us how much room is in the back seats?

Will it be enough for 2 kids (5 & 3) in car seats.

Thanks guys and I'm sure I'm going to be asking loads more on the TT very soon lol.

Cheers Johnny

Mk 1 and Mk 2 TT roadster experience here Johnny, and there's no space: I know this doesn't help you much but at least someone has answered...

Here's the boot with seats down in the first TT RS coupe I test drove

Seats are definitely perfect for kids and okay for adults (head room is an issue with the sloping boot) wouldn't want to spend a long journey in the back.

Thanks guys.

I will only have the kids in the back, no adults :)

And it will only really be me init most of the time.

If you can I'd definitely get a MKII - more space, better engine, better styling.

I can only get a mk1 really cause I'll only have around £4-£4.5k to spend.

I was looking at 911s (996) and people easily fit two child seats in the back of those, so I'd hazard a guess at a TT being bigger/more space. I've only had a passenger ride in a V6 MK2 TT so I can't say for certain but I reckon Audi would make sure that at least young kids would have space.

The handbook for a mk 2 says that the max height a rear seat
passenger should be is 1.5 metres
