Smallest wheels to fit my 2.8

As per title really, whats the smallest wheels that will fit my Audi 2.8 V6 Avant Q.

Reason I ask is, I'll need to fit snow tyres due to where i live to get me through the winter and also, give me time to refurb and paint my current alloys.

I'm not fussed if its steel rims or alloys but i've seen some 1.8 Avants with small, thin alloys as it drove past me. Poss 15inch, I dont know. Something like that would be ideal if they would fit over my brakes etc.

Car is standard apart from being lowered.

If its on standard brakes it'll go on 15" steels.

Personally i'd just get a set of cheap 16's, as balloon tyres on some 15" steels is going to be horrible.

Whats the width on the 15's and 16's?? Do you know?

I'll get some rims from local scrappy as he is cheap for them.

Would there be some info in owners manual that comes with car? Only i dont have any manulas with my car.

I have a set of 15" steel wheels from my first A4. You can have them if you can collect.

The 16's are 7" wide, 15's i'm not sure about but they're probably 6.5 or 7.
