slow window wipers

my wipers have started to work really slowly could the motor be on the way out ? its an intermitant fault

I don't know if it would be the same on A6's, but on the A4's the wiper mechanism seizes up over time, the answer is to remove it and dismantle it and then re-assemble it having greased all the joints etc.

There is a guide for doing this on the B5 HERE which may help give you some tips.

A spray with WD40 may help ease them short term.
