Single wire operation

Hi all,

I keep getting an error via vagcom of intermittant single wire operation. Its from the drivers door card. I also notice every once in a while (very rarely) the drivers speaker stops working briefly. I traced that there is a wire to the door (in the jam) that is causing the issue.

So I pulled off the door card (actually really hard to do the first time! So many plastic things break but goes back on cleanly now) and tried accessing the wiring. Its all taped securly and internally glued to the rubber conduit. Anyone know how to access these wires without damaging the conduit?
