Whats easiest, fitting a 57mm (internal diameter) silicone pipe over an external diameter 60mm rigid pipe or......

fitting a 60mm internal diameter silicone pipe over a 57mm internal diameter rigid pipe (which i suspect will be open to more leaks)

I can't get hold of a 60-57mm reducer for my intercooler piping and need to do one of the above - the 60mm pipe in question is the Forge Map Sensor pipe

anyone had the joys of trying either of the above

Tim

never tried it myself on silicone, but I would imagine a bit of hot water to heat the end of the 57mm ID hose and ram it onto the 60mm OD pipe should be doable.

I would expect you should be able to get a 57 silicon hose over a 60. I know a 48 will go over a 51 alloy tube.
