hi, ive just bought forge silicone upper boost hoses and tip do you have to cut the boost hoses to size as the oem's are smaller (length). and also do you have to take the bumper off to get to the driver's side intercooler. cheers

The hoses should fit straight on but Forge do say they sometimes may need a little trim as they're all machine cut.

It's easier if you do take the bumper off as it's fairly tricky to get to.

I think that it depends wether you are getting the forge kit or a different fmic as the forge kit does away with the smic's and some others keep the one on the driver's side, i may be wrong but this is how i understand it (im sure someone will correct me if im wrong)

Or i know that mate, but i didnt know if the pipe work at the top was kept.
I dont know any kits that keep the side IC, the only time i heard of that being done was when glen kept the drivers but that was a golf one done by forge and he ran it with a fmic

If you upgrade to an aftermarket FMIC like the forge one, then there's no point upgrading the current hoses, as you will not need them.
