Side mirror assembly

Does anyone know "step by step" how the side mirror housing suppose to come off? I have some new side mirror housing I would like to put on, took the two screws off from the bottom of the black support, but no luck taking the mirror glass off ... any advice?

I'm sure someone here can help ... cough "h5djr" cough ...:icon_thumright:

Have you got the black bottom support off? If so you should be able to get you fingers behind the mirror and prize it away from the motor. I found the trickiest thing was getting the black support off.

This is similar to what the motor should look like the mirror just clips on.

to get the mirror glass off you should push the glass in on one side all the way so that you can get your fingers in behind and pull gently. don't pull too hard though or you'll snap the glass.

as for the housing, you just need to undo the two screws. no need to remove the black bit. the mirror housing then pulls up and twists forward to pop off.
