Who does this beast belong to? Loving it big time!
Hi Lee, I was at Ultimate Dubs aswell.
Some great cars there.
I'm new to this sort of show and have heard of stretching tyres but the pictue below ...... well ......
I think (so many cars) it was on a Golf
Good morning out
Those cant be safe, show wheels only surely! abit of stretch is ok but thats a bit of a **** take!
Are the rear lights on the S3 darkened or just standard 09?
Check out the link
This is my fave, 'Rocco porn!
I dont have any more pics.
The guy who owned the car with the stretched tyres was scottish and when I spoke to him he was quite proud of the fact (with rgeards to the Tyres). I'm sure he was driving it
Changed my mind, it was defo the silver car in the background next to this one
Not likeing the Smidts on the Ibiza, they just dont suit modern cars IMO.
God I cant wait for the 4wd scirocco I hope it has dsg aswell cause I'd serious consider this even with **** golf interior with looks as above, not sure about bumper though.
Is that grille from an Audi?
The Bora is Scott's...its his daily.. How he drives it on that stretch and that low il never know!! 17x10.5's on the rear with a 215 tyre!
Il Whore some pics of it just to stir it up! personally i LOVE it...but i think thats because i used to roll in a Bora.
Il get some more pics of the White S3 too....love that car too...but he needs to either raise the rear or lower the front...reverse rake is NOT a good look imo...still a hot ride...but could be even hotter
Hmmm some nice Porn, the more Roccos I see in the flesh, the more I think I'd like one as my next car.
That first pic of the Bora tells a story though - look at the arch damage.
the arch damage is from his winters..he hasnt had chance to get it sprayed yet.
The grill on the White 'Rocco is from an R8
god I hate the stretched tyre look. The rest of the thread is pretty tasty though as there are some lovely cars pictured. Roll on the VW Scirroco R20T.....
Glad I'm not alone, just looks stupid IMHO, serves no purpose & unless I'm missing something, surely fairly dangerous??
Those who actively stretch profess that its no danger, yet manufacturers of tyres specify it as a complete no-no. You are effectively compromising the side wall and pulling it into a shape that it was not built to perform under.
I saw Luke Hines (ex BTCC driver) roll a tyre off the rim of a Leon Cupra R road car at Prodrive test track in Warwickshire (fortunately not on my flying lap with him ). If normal tyres can suffer this,, then stretched have to be even more unstable. It is less dangerous now that tyre technology has improved as the sidewalls are stronger, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Plus it looks pap.
Thats my feeling, I just cant see the sidewalls holding up for long & to actually take the risk of the wheel, car & your possibly life in hands so easily, well everyone to there own but tyres certainly wouldnt be my 1st place to mod or at all if ever.
Woww - I've been looking at this pic all day and want white deep dish wheels now
Has anyone got more pics of that S3 ?
Defo one of the best lol
The stance on that Rocco is awful, needs to be 20"s as well.
those wheels are way too wide - its been scrubbing the arches even though it has a massive strectch!!!!!
2 much strect imo..
Agreed - I've got a pic somewhere of a suppliers Scirocco - lowered approx 80mm on white Borbet 20's. It was otherwise pretty standard and was a real headturner.
I'm guessing it doesn't get presented for it's MOT with these wheels fitted!?!
As they're clearly illegal in this photo!
Must agree with the comments above - I just don't get stretched tyres and it's got to be an accident waiting to happen putting that much strain on the sidewalls.
Proponents of stretched tyres usually come out with gems like - "It's perfectly safe as long as you don't....." and the like!
Thats horrible.. Front bumper looks totally jap style / R8 rip off, colour match is awful and the skirts are
Heres some more pics, its a Reiger kit but they do a more subtle version too.
This is the more subtle one
This my fave pic!
I love the reiger kit on the scirocco - the second subtle one.
Seen a reigered one and it did look the dogs..
Still think that is the best looking car in production...
Thats much better.
