Yeah i noticed it had gone up a fair bit, 1.29 a litre in darlo, i can honestly say in the year ive owned mine, its only the last 3 tanks ive used this stuff, (always used the supermarket fuel till i read how good this stuff was supposed to be) and can honestly say, i have noticed absoloutly NO difference to either performance, extra milage, engine more quiet etc , so think i,ll be returning to the cheaper fuels next time around.

I'd agree with that, following on from that thread I went from Tesco (the clubcard points were great at Christmas) straight to V Power, and am now on normal Shell. I don't see any extra returns for my money either - Shell match Tesco as they're nearby, so maybe it's better for the fuel system in the long run. But I like Pringles!

i have found my 2.5 tdi runs much better on a tank of regular BP diesel against a tank of shell regular

I see slightly more miles to a tank, but dont think with the 9p difference it now works out cheaper with more miles, it be cheaper overall buying regular

I might try regular Shell if it stays high.Wonder if they are just pushing the extra to see how we react and if not good they will have to rethink if their V Power pumps become redundant.I am convinced that it makes a big diff in wifes 1.0 Micra but not sure about the 2.5TDI although mpg seems good

Main concern is whether Shell are exploiting V Power both diesel and petrol now that they have established some demand and refitted some outlets with half of the pumps on V Power which would all be redundant if we switched to Regular
