I've now sold my car this used to go onto so the unit is up for sale.
You simply plug the unit into your OBD port and flash the ECU with the new map. The OEM map is saved back to the unit for future use or if the car goes in for a service, in which case you definetly have to put the original map on!

Another good feature of the unit is that you can scan for fault codes. This has saved me a fortune over the years!

My car was standard 200BHP, with the map added it increased it to approximately 240BHP, a noticeable difference straight away!
The car it was used on was an Audi A4 B7 2005 with the 2.0TFSI engine, petrol.
I am aware that other models use this engine so it should work on those too.

Please do your research to ascertain if this STS unit is for you. I am unable to advise you, all I will say is that it worked on my car brilliantly.

Retail price of this £399. I will accept £275 inc postage via RM Special Delivery.
    Feel free to PM.

Will this be a straight plug and play?

Yes. Connect the STS, it takes the original map of your car and stores it in the unit whilst transferring the new one map.
It will also scan for fault codes which is really handy.

Hi. My understanding of the shark STS system is the performance map which is stored on it is unique to the car's ecu and not transferable. This would mean a buyer would still need to pay shark for a new map. I would be pleasantly surprised if this is not the case as it would make my STS which I'm about to sell worth more....

From what I've been told as long as the performance map is back on the unit it can go onto another engine the same as why mine was.

This is not the case. The sts unit only allows you to read the ecu, send the file to shark to be modified and then upload the performance file. It is tailored to each car. The sts only retails at £150 brand new. Then you need the remap on top.
See sharks website or give them a call for more info.

This is only a handset. The remap needs to be purchased and tailored to each vehicle.

Having spoken to Ben you guys are correct, the map is individual to the car. Thanks for the advice.
Given the above the unit is for sale.
    Offers accepted.
