Shake rattle and roll

I have the occasional shake coming from the engine on my 98 A4. It sounds like a misfire, but having checked leads, plegs and had the coil pack replaced, i cannot find anything else wrong. Any ideas?


I saw the thread above reference the 1.8T and the problems he had. But i understand the 1.8T has seperate coils unlike my 1.6. The ignition amp in mine is attached to the coil unit itself or is it? Would this also be causing me problems with misfire?
