    Hi all,

I bought a car in Switzerland imported from Germany.

    2.0 TFSI Quattro.

Dash has just started saying service is due in x kms or x days. I must admit to not knowing what type of servicing is on the car, as I am a first time Audi owner and am not sure how it works.

Log book (in German) says it's had 2 prior services (done around 60,000kms) to date.

Is this AVS or a regular time or distance service?

    Cheers,

    S

it usually works at 30000miles or 1 year, whichever comes first just as a general rule, but there is also country regulations now too, you can change the service interval via vagcom

Right thanks - I guess that it means I am on time/distance then. The previous owner hasn't done anywhere near 60,000 miles, and seems to have done 2 services since they bought it in mid 2006.

Is there a thread on here giving opinions of garages for servicing. My A3 needs doing?

If you pull the right hand side peg\button on the clocks it will tell you when the next service is due.
