service position - b6 a4

Hi all, I want to remove the front bumper and move the radiator forward so i can get to the snub mount. I can't find any definitive instructions for putting the a4 into service mode/position? Any help appreciated.

Snub mount can be changed without putting it into the service position, it tight but doable

i know i was half way there but i couldnt get my socket into the gap, so thought about moving the radiator so I could get more space.... cheers

its an 8mm allen bolt so I think i need a long allen key

Iirc I just used a normal allen key on them as I couldn't get a socket in there

I cut down an allen key and used a 10mm ring spanner on the top bolt that's hard to get to. Worked a treat. The bit I cut off is about 15mm long.

Snub mount is easy to do
Jack car up and remove drivers wheel then you can drop down your engine cover then you can see snub mount .. Undo it but when you refit it don't fully tighten yet .. Put your wheel back on and let car down this will put it in the right place then jack car back up remove wheel and tightened the snub mount tight
