Got my second AVS service coming up, but I know some other work needs doing. If I get it done at a specialist like Fountain will it make a hell of a lot of difference to resale value?

None whatsoever, specialist stamps are equivalent if not better than main dealer, shows you've really looked after your baby.

To you, me, and other enthusiasts, yes. I generally agree with you.

But if you intend selling your car privately a lot of less-educated buyers might prefer the Audi stamp.

I had my second AVS at a dealer, and had the full 40k service too at the same time.

This was enough to see it out of factory warranty, as now I intend to get it serviced at a bosch specialist..

The less educated private buyers may well think that a dealer service stamp means full service history, what about brake fluid and haldex oil ?

I went to fontain in Slough and the service was ace.everything as per audi requirements + its cheaper.....I'll go back any time

Quite. The dealer wouldn't bother with either unless specifically.asked in my experience.

I have my car service by the Cambridge dealers. They do insist on brake fluid and haldex oil changes every service for me.... I have done 17k miles since the last service (2 years ago). My DIS tells I've got another 1000miles before my next service.
Apparently the way I drive it (i.e. slow) makes it go on for longer between services.
