It's only an ECU box so it should be fine. If you get one cheaper than full price, I'd do it.

They're about £600 new including fitting. £250-300 would be more sensible IMO

You reckon £310 is too much then?

Doesn't the controller also contain a pump? I don't know what happens if it dries out once it has been de-installed..

  7. I thought it was just a straight swap?
But I'd check, do a search and see if you can find someone on here that already has one.

£350 is about on the money, i was offered this for mine when i was looking to sell. No probs swapping them over, just need the new small gasket, check for damaged wiring too.

Best thing to do is have it fitted then try and wheel spin lol. Also best to check to make sure its not a standard one with a lick of paint!

265STW, what do you mean by needing a new small gasket?

    Thanks Bantam1, that would help!

There is a gasket included in the HPP kit with 2 screws.

So would you advise changing that? If so where and how much is one of those?

From what i remember its only a thinish paper gasket. Maybe try vagparts or similar for replacement as its probably going to get damaged on removal

It should come off the car with the unit, so if the HPP is still on the car you are getting it from no worries.

S3 haldex can shift up to 50% of the power away from the front wheels, stock or performance controller.

All the performance haldex controller does, is move that 50% to the rears sooner than the stock ecu, with the goal of getting ready for the power before it arrives.
