Sealed Battery

Couldnt decide which section to ask so....

I need to charge up a sealed battery unit for a mate but i think i read somewhere that you cant do this as you cant open the valves to let hydrogen escape? Is this right?

Charge it as per normal it will have a vent on it

Yeah I spoke to someone thats a mechanic and he said the same.

I know very little about cars....
