can't remember right now, but all the compatible classes and capacities are in the mmi manual

I've just bought one of these but not had chance to see if it works until I get the car (Sandisk 32GB 45MB/S SD Extreme). I hope it does

I used a Sandisk MicroSD 16GB from an old phone and used a MicroSD and SD adapter and works well.

No need to go for top speed as your only playing music.

I just ordered a Sandisk SD card 32GB, I'm pretty sure the class is not a major issue as you would only be transferring and playing music.

Cool, I wasn't sure if the speed was an issue or not. So the cheapest 32gb should do.
