SD Card Supported Video Formats?

    This thread may exist elsewhere but cant find the info im looking for,

    Does anyone know what Video formats are supported on an SD card with the standard audio system?

    I thought I had read somewhere that this can't be done, it only plays DVDs I think

    You might be able to connect a device with video out to AMI using an appropriate cable. I believe there is a composite video to AMI cable.

    Standard system has no support for video from SD cards or anywhere else. As stated above it may be possible to use the display as a simple monitor using the RGB cable to connect a device with video out to the AMI connector under the armrest.
