Saved links to threads & search function

Hi Olly,

Just a couple of things I have noticed..

1) I have saved a lot of short-cuts to threads over the years. Obviously, because the site has been updated, new database etc. Those links to the posts no longer work.
I expect there isn't anything you can do about this

2) Search function. I tried searching for a thread I once started (and had saved a link to), the thread title contained the words "disk pad fitting how to". The search function discarded the words disk pad how to, and just searched for fitting, because instances of the others are too numerous.
Thats not really very helpful. Maybe I am doing it wrong. Should I be creating an expression such as disk AND pad AND fitting etc.?

Hi Al,
1) No, the links wont work and I cant do anything about it, all I can suggest is that you find those threads again and save them as new favorites.

2)I will index the search function tonight, which will pick up all posts and store them for searching. Also, try doing as you suggested and using AND OR operators to see if you get better results
