    Hi All,

Im collecting a 2006 A3 S-Line for the Girlfriend on Friday, and I have a growing list of improvements I want to make to the car; One of which is the S3 style satin chrome mirror cases.

Genuine OE cases are a touch prohibitive at £250+, so can anyone recommend a repuatable place to supply me with some replicas please?

Does anyone also have pictures of these fitted to a dolphin grey S-line as an example?

Pictures of the car will follow in due course once it has been detailed and prepped to a standard im more familiar with...along with more questions.

    TIA.
    Byron:salute:

Not seen any satin reps, the aftermarket ones tend to be chrome.

There are a number of Satin reps available on Ebay, but I agree - the majority tend to be the tacky high chrome examples.
That said, there are satin reps about, but all seem overpriced i.e £130+

The theft aspect was overlooked if im being honest.:whip:

This car also needs to be something that can be left anywhere with minimal concern to its well being too...good point, idea canned.

Ok - I should think about de-tango'ing the headlamps and stop lights.
Is it worth fitting silvertecs to the front and rear lamps? Is there a particular pattern of silvertec bulb I need to buy or are they generic?
How easy is it to change the indicator bulbs front and rear?

Its pretty straight forward mate, i dont know about the front but the rear is just a 1 screw/bolt affair. The whole cluster comes out, the outside edge of the cluster slots into the car while the inside edge is bolted on, just need to give it a bit of a giggle to get it out. My manual gave me instrustions how to get it out, have a look.

To do the fronts you have to take out the wheel arch liner. Its a bit of pain but straight forward and they do look better for the effort.

cheers fellas - front bumper is coming off anyway, so might aswell change the bulbs then.
Pushing my luck now, but what 'pin' arrangement should I be buying the Silvertecs in? offset or opposite?
Is it worth changing the side repeator ones too?
