    Greetings Everyone,

I have a brand new Audi issue Sat Nav that I'm looking to install in my Audi S3. Problem is that it is missing the start-up/unlock code.

    The model no. is: Audi RNS-E 8EO 035 192N

Does anyone out there know of someone that can unlock it? :ermm:

I'm in London by the way.

    Thanks.

You need to take it to a dealer, they can look it up for you. But you do need to provide some informatin about the car that the unit was in, I think VIN or some other details (not sure).

The Sat came from a dealer of German electronic car components in the Uk. It came in an unopened box with everything needed:

    -Sat Nav Unit
    -Antenna
    -Instruction Manual

    But no code card.

I'm just assuming you need a code (as with most modern electronic devices for motor vehicles) to get started.

In that case they should be able to provide you with the code.

Also check for a 4 digit code that might be written or possibly stuck on the unit somewhere with non-OEM type stickers.

Dealers need the serial number to get the code but this could just be querying the central computer that holds all the vin info. Best bet is go back to where you got it from..

I you install the unit in your car and take it to the dealer they can connect their VAS to it and interrogate the PIN database online.

my RNS-E thinks it's installed in a car with a different VIN...
it was factory fitted when i got the car built... so its hardly a means of seeing if its a stolen unit?
