My S4 came with a 2004 version of the navigation software.

Question is, can i buy a newer version of the disc and will it work in my system?

If I can, how new can i go??

Both the CVD version and the DVD version say Sat Nav plus on the front panel - stupid eh?

Does it have a large button either side of the screen (CD version), or just a single large button on the right of the screen (DVD version)?

    By "new version" do you mean what's fitted in the A5, A6, A8, Q7? - that's MMI.

I would put that Sat Nav system on E-bay & retrofit the RNS-e which is really good....IMHO.....
