Samsung Galaxy S7 compatibility

Having a problem with call audio with a Samsung Galaxy S7. The phone paired up ok, I have full access to contacts and call history, but there is complete silence when trying to make a call
(applies to both incoming and outgoing calls). The other person can hear me, but I can’t hear them. Everything worked perfectly fine with my previous phone. Dealer says no update is necessary to the car (64 plate A3 saloon), but Samsung support have remotely accessed the phone and concluded the phone is not faulty and it must be a compatibility issue. Feel like I’m stuck in the middle don’t know who to believe. Can anyone help?

Mine is a 2016 car but i have a S7 Edge and mine works perfectly !?

Can you try another phone? If that works, you can rule out anything related to your car, if not, then it's a problem with the car's hardware or settings.

I have a 64 plate s3 and Samsung s7 phone, no issues at all.

I managed to return the phone for an exchange, new one works perfectly. Happy days.
