My car is now 3 months old and has 1400 miles on the clock and ive noticed the leather in the centre of the drivers seat base looks all stretched. Has anyone else had this and do you know if audi will fix it under warranty

Hi mate - Yes mines exactly the same - I've only covered 3k miles! I am not big or fat -just usual average Jack I guess and it looks well like the drivers seat bottom area is stretched WTF!!! I posted about this last week re leather seats - and I was suggested to get hold of some Gliptone liquid leather in order to soften the leather and perhaps help in putting it back to its original shape. Only put the conditioner on last night so a bit early to tell but it gives off a lovely smell of leather - exactly what it says on the tin!!

Are you going to mention to your dealer? Could you let me know how you get on as I've been mulling over whether to bring this up next time it gets its service!

Ingram Audi? Did you wear a disguise to go there? The Skoda signs are bit too big LOL.

Im a upholsterer .Leather will stretch and stretch not much you can do really.
You can take seat cover off and boost the foam up ie glue 1/2 inch or 1/4 foam in middle of the seat. But eventually will go back to looking saggy
I had to boost up foam on car seat out of a bmw not so long ago.

There's one other way but have be VERY CARE FULL. Try it at your own risk!!
You could f**k your seats up they will look brown and burnt!
I wouldn't do this if your leather is cracked and very dry
Leather will shrink by using a heat gun. keep moving heat gun around dont leave it in one spot to long. The Leather will have be to be to hot to touch before start to shrink.
Use a leather feed or cream after when cold!
Also try keep heat away from the stiching!
If have heated seats i wouldnt try this.

Interesting - I wouldn't even attempt it on mine - way too clumsy LOL

Mine are heated seats but how would you feel about taking a look at my seats? Am taking the car to the dealers next week to see what they say, but could be interested in them being heated up?
