    are you allowed to move the 0 so it looks like only as its s40 nly

    Or issued with a VREC (or whatever your force calls it), which means you have a certain amount of time to change it, get it stamped by an MOT station and returned to us, in order to avoid prosecution.

    I prefer doing this with some toerags, as it's far less convenient than a fine, and sometimes more expensive, but it almost ensures that it gets changed.
