S4 mirrors and misted headlamps

Discussion in 'A4/A4 cabriolet/S4 forum(B6 chassis)' started by imported_timwiti, Nov 18, 2005.

  1. Looking at another S4 - the headlights had condensation inside is this normal - it was early morning?

Also the wing mirrors (glass) had a thin rubbery/plastic beading around the edge - I've not noticed this before

Headlights is normal. Run on mainbeam for 10mins to clear.

Mirror surround I've seen on 2004 models but not earlier,

  4. this is an 03 - I've seen 04 which don't have it.
    What is it for?
    Should I care?

Black rim on side mirrors is the auto-dimming glass.

Just get on, put yourself out of your misery and buy one. Better still, write to Santa and ask him for one! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

Correct. I have a 2002 3.0L and I have auto dimming + heated side mirrors and they have a thick plastic rim that runs along the edge of the mirror glass.
