    Hi chaps,

Not been on here for a while since I sold my Imola S3 to fund University!

Now I've finished Uni I have some unfinished business with S3s :eyebrows:

I paid 4k for mine, had 100k on the clock, 1999 car with a few nice extras.

I've seen them go as low as 3k nowadays, are the majority of these dogs and if so what's a realistic budget for one now?

To be honest I would check the classifieds on here to see if anyone reliable is selling theirs.

£2500 can get you a tidy pre-facelift again, £3500 for a tidy facelift.

Any more is just taking the piss.

I paid £4000 for my facelift S3 last year. Very tidy car but still showed signs of age.

Mine had a few extras like parrot kit, rstt alloys and stage 1 custom code map.

I don't think you can a tidy facelift for £3500. I nearly flogged my 2002 s3 a couple of months back. Advertised for 4950 and had and offer for 4600. Turned it down and decided to keep it. I honestly think decent examples will soon appreciate in value. Loads are being ruined by boy racers. It is an s3 after all, not just an a3!

papa orange colour (i personally like) i think the car could be a steal.
Dealer so he will probably take 3500

Could you point in the right direction for a tidy pre-face lift S3 for £2500?

    I can't even find one dude :-\

(Unless you car salesman have secret areas to PH, Ebay and Autotrader that the normal public cannot access)

See the post above yours ;)

You blind bro? Tidy pre-facelifts are all OVER the place for £2500, what they are advertised for and what they actually sell for are two different things. :p

Ohhhh I pretty much read that at £2500 for a pre-facelift.

I must have had a Katie Price moment! lol

    Anyway.... pre-facelift FTW :rockwoot:

(Thought I'd get in there early seeing as though this thread could end that way :p ) lol

not sure how you can tell any of the above are 'nice' or 'tidy' examples. Just because the seller says they are doesn't meant they actually are! Seriously, at the end of the day you get what you pay for.

'get what you pay for' is a comment that should never be used for old used cars, its retarded.

People will ask more than they should for **** examples, when cheaper cars owned by people with brains that are looked after are better.

Its luck of the draw, 100% luck as to whether you get a nice one for the money. The only way you will get one for the right price for your tastes is by viewing lots of them and seeing whats out there, and seeing what deluded people come up with price wise.

OP, youve owned one, it certainly looked nice, so you have an idea of the standard you want. All people can say is good luck.
