S3 starting issues

Hi all. I've recently upgraded from a TQS to a S3. Only managed to drive it twice! Both times it failed to re-start when hot. Just turns over and over. I've been doing some digging and i rekon the crank sensor could be at fault! But would engine temperature affect this?

Just tried to start it now its cooled down and its fine? Would a knackered temp switch prevent the car from starting?

I reckon a diagnostics scan would show you what's wrong with your car, and a knackered temp sensor would effect starting yes.
