Im wanting my car a bit lower but i domnt want to loose the plush ride it has the cars only two years old and feel nice and tight so i dont want to ruin it by slamming it to the deck, the golf tdi mk5 i have has eibach springs and its crashy so i dont want that on the a3, thought the s3 springs may fill the void?

Anyone done it?

thanks

i wouldnt risk it, the TDi engine is a fair bit heavier then the petrol engine so the springs wont match the axel weight or the damper rate so there is a good chance it will be all over the shop

If it's a quattro then the afaik the springs will fit.
H&R use the same lowering spring kit in the diesel and petrol quattro(3.2 and 2.0).
The shocks won't be matched would be my worry though but someone on hear has fitted s3 springs to a 2.0T quattro.

hmm might get some springs then whats best ones h&r or eibach or other?

If your car is an S-line TDI you will need to get proper lowering springs or much better a proper coil over kit if you want the car lower. Lowering spring on standard shocks are not a great idea. The lower the lowering springs the more harsh the rider.
