S3 Sat-nav option!

Holland also use 7 digit post codes, but don't think thats the point, it is not hard to include 7 digit postcodes on any new map release & some of us have paid upwards of a grand for an RNS-E unit , if BMW can have why can,t Audi.

see the digital tv link in my signature for more info.

Excellent! I'm gonna go and find my N95 lead and see if i can plumb it into the M3 16:9 Screen!! Back in a mo...

Useful to know this is also possible on the S3. Seems that you've retro fitted the Tuner etc. Would the same be possible with the Audi TV option?

I'd be buying a new S3 and might be tempted to spec the TV unless it can be done alot cheaper!

I wouldnt bother with oem, expensive addition & how often you gonna use it, aftermarket tv feed on video in would be cheaper I think & probably better, of course would need the VIM hack as I'm sure RNS cuts all video feed into car when in motion, Marc's done this all so probably best to ask him.

I use the TV in the M3 now and again but i must admit, i could easily live without it. More useful is the video in feed...On the BMW you don't get this unless you have the TV tuner...Is this the case on the Audi too?

I got my TV-in-motion lead from 'the mobile centre'. I assume they do Audi stuff too.

Cheers

That looks very good.

The Tv in my current car is analogue so is watchable on the move if you're prepared to put up with some snowy images, unless you're driving passed a transmitter, like Winter Hill near the M6!

that took you 6 hours man, you are either slowing up in old age or just plain ****** as a nute already on a friday, lol, personally hope its the latter, lol cause I'm halfway there, its called an anaesthetic (for hands)

lol, i do some work between lunch and dinner! Just finished putting a new tank in an Escort estate and got fags for the petrol station and saw the time. Had to shoot out - house was free of drink save for a miniture of black absinthe so had to head out for something.
