Ok, so I have had my car for a couple of weeks and I have been thinking about a remap. My car is a 2010 S-tronic BTW. I have read a lot of threads on here and via google, and I have come to the following conclusions: 2 main companies Revo and Superchips. Revo offer a c.300bhp remap. Superchips similar at 310bhp. There are other companies which offer bespoke maps but they are not as well tested and as such I think I will go for either Revo or Superchips. Now, a slight issue is there seems to be quite a lot of evidence online that the S3 puts out between 280 and 290bhp as standard. I have also seen a few threads that mention that the Superchips maps have not really produced the numbers. So, as a question to owners how much faster is your car with your remap? Have you timed the car with and without the map? I will not be making any more mods to the car by the way. Superchips is perfect for me, its DIY and I can take the map on and off the car. But I am put off by the comments about power figures, and on one case there was a mention that a stock S3 was putting out more power than a car which had Bluefin. But this was a couple of years ago I think. I know this topic has been discussed quite a bit on here but I dont want to spend £500-£600 on a map and not get the best option for me. IYSWIM. Comments welcome!
