Hi guys I have done some reading on this site and a couple others. and most of them are pointing to the clutch switch causing this issue on my 2003 BAM S3. What I would like to know. is the oem Part number for this switch, and how hard it is to change?

Please any replies will be much appreciated.

No VCDS at the moment. would like just to know the part number and how difficult it is to change. anyone????

Sounds like the clutch switch.

Mine did this and I replaced the clutch switch and it solved the problem. It's very easy to do. Took me about 10 mins

Easy job ten mins, new part is revised and better oem version now.

I think part was a around £19 from tps.

if you have vcds you can see clutch switch operation, and brake etc

mine does the same but hardly revs, so wasnt too fussed about rushing to change it after i ordered the wrong part :( FAIL by me! how do i check its working or faulty through vcds?

Ok, I think maybe mine does this & has ever since I've owned it two years ago.
Do you mean every time you dip the clutch to change up when accelerating hard the revs rise causing a bit of a jerky change?
