hmmm what ur St pushing out.... and I take it ur talking of a standard S3?

The ST has 225bhp as standard? and its front wheel drive?

So you need it to be dry I guess?

Yeah, I can't see a front wheel drive car being much fun with 300+bhp! You would get about 100 meters before you torque steered into a tree!

jesus, ive had 4 Audis not knocking them, the ST is the volvo 5cyl 2.5 turbo, i have had 4,5" catback, 100cell sport cat, 3" turbo down pipe, radtec intercooler, ggr cais, cylinder head work, lowered comp, GT30 turbo conversion, running 388bhp, Quaffe diff, and no torque steer, im not knocking S3, i have one on order, which will have Giac chip fitted, ST is miles ahead performance wise. get your head out of the sand fellas, its a 2.0 fsi engine with weak internals and a small ko4 turbo.

Sweet, that'll give 911 owners a bit of a shock off the lights! Although I'm still not convinced about that much power in a fwd car! I'd love to have a go though! ;)

Our heads arn't in the sand mate, its a good engine, which will put out 400 bhp with a big turbo conversion + exhaust + chip, not that I'd want to change the turbo, I want to keep the warranty, but you can easily get 330+ with a chip and an exhaust running the stock turbo, not bad for a 2l 4 pot eh?

I am not looking down on the Focus ST at all, just interested. I dont doubt its faster, youve spent enough on it lol. I doubt its ability to put it all down on the road in the wet/damp though, and your claims are all based on rolling starts which id also say are down to its inability to put the power down from stationery.

Your ST sounds like a right machine though, but my only reservation is its looks, i know the lump and the chassis are excellent, but i just dont like the looks or the interior on the new fords.

    Id take the RS4 :icon_thumright:

Bet u upset a lot of people in it :w00t:

Hmm I don't really believe that considering my mates ST torque steers at standard bhp.

It's a great looking car though I agree, and great engine, which don't forget is bigger than the S3s so I should bloody well hope you can get some good power out of it!

I had the opportunity to buy an ST for 13k tax free but I wasn't interested. I spent 6k more and I don't regret it. I have some vids of me and a couple of STs at the ring which I'll post if anyone is interested? At one point we had a chain of 2 STs, me then an 8L S3 all snaking along lol
