Hey all, have a quick question.

I've had my 2008 S3 for a few months now, quite happy with it. After owing several jap cars, I always very careful with taking the time to let the car warm up. As a consequence I do the exact same with my S3. I have however noticed that my car takes quite some time to get up to temperature, it can take up to 8 miles / 10-15 minutes (dependant on how bad the traffic is) to get up to the 90 degree mark. Is this generally the case for other owners? Once up to temp, it stays there and there are no other issues that I can tell. Its just that I've never owned a car that takes so long to get to temperature, if any other owners could confirm if this is normal, I'd be much appreciated.

    Regards

Yeah mine is the same.....approx 5-6 miles to be at 90 degrees - same car too...2008 S3. I've never really bothered about it. As long as its at that temp before the heavy right foot appears then great. :undwech:

Mine is about up to 90C by 3-4 miles worth of steady driving, and I wouldn't hoof it anywhere before that.
