S3 - Engine cut out and now won't start

Currently waiting for break down.

Just went over a speed bump and then I have the car some gas to get up to speed again, the car wouldn't let me give it any throttle and then the revs dropped slowly until the engine cut out.

The engine now is turning over fine but won't fire.

The S3 is compleltly standard apart from a samco TIP.

No nasty noises when turning the engine over either.

Would I be right in saying this is possible fuel pump? Or relay?

Ok, the engine doesn't sound as good as I'd thought on turn over, sounds expensive. It's being compression tested tomorrow.

What did the recovery guy say?
let us know how you get on, it could be anything so there is no point even trying to think what it could be ....
