Can the Audi ones be fitted after you have bought the car? Is it a major job, or a stright swap, and plug in to the harness that is there on all models?
Or an absolute pain in the backside?

If they are easily swapped, can they be acquired form any where Except Audi Dealers? Cheaper in other words

Thanks

They're like rockin horse droppings mate, I would think ud pay a mega ammount to get them retro fitted by audi,

Are you buying your car new, as its far cheaper and cost effective to buy new, and ebay/forums are your best bet for them, expect to pay £2250-£3000 for interior though. They are easy to fit, 4 bolts, job done.

£2250-£3000 CORRECT

But harder and harder to get , N8 ( HI Nath ! ) will be your man when they are available.

hahaaaa. u must admit thou. there not a bad look a like compared to some u see thou lol

Just get some recaro CS's same look, but without the heated and airbags, but i think you can spec them up with recaro.

Basic cs's cost like £800 each, going up to £1100 each if you want airbags and full leather.

For £250 posted i thought those seats looked very good and a direct copy of the RS4 buckets that people pay minimum £1000 + for . What the quality is like and how long they last etc cannot be commented on though.

i was waiting for a comment like that lol i thought i was going to be the only 1 thinking that lol. when i first seen them they were on ebay for 175 each....that was just before xmas. i think its not bad value for money if u dnt wanna spend mega bucks

if you cant afford the real thing here is some think u might like to try lol.

there like a replica to the recaro cs lol

omg! please tell me this is a joke, they are fecking awful, vile.. anyone who puts these in there a3/s3 needs to sell there car and go buy a vauxhall nova..

what some have done over here is buy Recaro CS then buy the skins and padding from Audi.

i dont see how this can work? they are clearly very different seats?? any pics?? also this would probably cost more then buying the audi recaros in bits and building them yourself? i know the seat covers are about £250 each!! + 2 x recaro cs's = over £2500 already thats with out mounting brackets, padding...

The best deal's I see are from specialist Insurance breakers like the full interior that was posted in the classified section here!

Breakers Yards all the way!!

I would rather sit on cloth than them ebay specials.

CS's are not that expensive if you know where to get them.
You can buy then new for £660 in cloth then get trimmed in leather for £600 to £650,although it does add up

You can't buy OEM seats from Recaro. You can buy the basic seat and then add the Audi touch by sourcing the skins. It'[s fecking expensive but its the only way to get them over here unless you want to pay 9000 USD

can you get teh plain s3 ones, i fancy slumming it, its not that i cant afford to spend as much money as a small car costs on seats

You can get them brand new from Recaro.

Nate, I tried contacting Ed Hessel who is the sales manager from Recaro. ROFL but read this post around halfway down to see what I had to contend with when I just wanted to give Recaro 7000 USD

Per my nonfriend ED:

RECARO is unable to sell any of its OEM seats directly to customers as the OEM owns the final trim and cushion design.
