S3 Brake Refurb.

Got these at a steal off ebay, when they arrived I was a little disappointed at the state of them.
stripped them down and cleaned them up along with a lick of paint. need help with a few things...

what is the round thing that has corroded? and can anyone give me the part number?
I also need the rigid pipe on the back and bracket.

Last of all what are peoples opinions on either new S3 retainers or do I go VW R ones ?

the R ones are very dear now after they were being sold on ebay. just clean up the old ones

The old ones are really really faded though , as you can see in the picture.

I think new ones are cheap from Audi possibly only a tenner if I remember as I looked at getting some after acid wheel cleaner faded the paint on my old ones.

The round part is a form of sound damper similar to the ones on the RS3 Brembo Caliper, they use them to counteract certain frequencies when people have brake Squeal/noise......

If I remember rightly on my previous S3 there was one on each front Caliper.

Yeh at Audi it come up on the computer as a balance weight
