Hi All,

I had a bit of a close call the other night on the motorway which has got me thinking something's not 100% with my brakes at the moment.

I had to stop very quickly from motorway speeds and when I pressed the pedal it was almost like the brakes had failed somehow. They worked well initially but after a few seconds it felt like they just stopped applying pressure to the discs and I could hear what sounded like a grinding noise coming from the fronts.

The car's had new discs and pads alround in the last thousand miles and the system's been bled so it's got new fluid in there as well. Apart from the really squeaky DS2500's I can't see how there could be a problem with any of this as it's all new.

I think it's got to be either the brake switch playing up (I've bought a new one and will be fitting it this weekend) or it's some problem with the master cylinder which I might try bleeding as well this weekend (are there any "how to's" for this?).

Any advice / similar expieriences out there?

Thanks in advance

Mike
