S3 brake fluid warning light!

So the story goes - I changed the front brakes on the S3 yesterday as they were as good as wafers! This cleared the pad sensor light that I had on the DIS but I now have the brake fluid warning light!?

Did lose any fluid and I would have thought that depressing the calipers to fit the large brakes is likely to raise the fluid level?

Could the sensor be throwing an error if it is over full? or is there something else to check?

did you remove the cap when you pushed back the pistons?
you can get brake fluid into the cap and it coats the terminals etc
remove the cap and suck out to correct level and clean out the cap with brake cleaner
