S3 8V snow chains

I'm driving my S3 to morzine in January.

Has anyone used snow chains with their S3? Can you recommend a good set?

Don't really want to pay Thule prices!

Winter tyres are by far best, if you have winter tyres and four wheel drive you should not need snow chains.
Driven to the alps many times with this combination and never been stuck or needed snow chains plus they are a pain to fit in bad weather.

During the dump of snow in the Alps last weekend the police were stopping cars going out of the towns towards resorts and turning them back, unless they had snow chains, and making drivers fit them there and then.
Snow chains are an abomination to attach, I agree, but should be carried irrespective of whether snow tyres are fitted.

Equally anyone travelling to the Alps with summer tyres and snow chains would be very foolish, many people do.
