S3 8p 2008 turbo issue ?

Hey guys..

I've done a fair bit of searching on Google and the forum but haven't turned anything up.

When driving from standstill the turbo comes on at around 2k revs which I gather is normal on these cars.. pulls like a train and goes very well until I get to around 4k revs then it feels as though the turbo just dies off and Im no longer getting any pull .. it then spools up again around 5k ish and starts pulling again until I change gear the whole time my foot never moves from off the floor (manual) .. it seems to do it in all gears .. 1 minute the turbos on then it's not..

Any ideas guys ? It's going into audi on Wednesday so will get them to check it over .

Let us know how you get on. Initial thoughts is a boost leak of some kind, or the DV is faulty?

Still no joy then Lee, maybe you should get a member on here to do a VCDS check for you, or hopefully Audi will shed some light for you mate, for a price probably, good luck.

Is it under warranty with Audi as you may have more luck with a specialist who are used to the relatively few issues that the S3 suffers from? A stated above, check the DV isn't split (this is something you can do yourself), also check the condition of the spark plugs as these are often neglected.
