Will this fit. Anyone running this combination, or similar? Maybe 9.5 x 18 et 35, have you got spacers, and what size? Looking to lower the car as well, on eibachs 25/20mm. Any help much appreciated.

    Regards

    Craig.

I ran 9.5 on the rears 225/40/18 et35 and to be honest I could have gone 20mm spacer but stuck to 15mm
The car WILL handle like someone's that's had 10 Jaegerbombs mind. Absoloutly horrific that's why I got rid

Replied dude, it was just soooo much understeer and the wheels just felt heavy. It just wasnt as nimble.
Maybe it was just the wheels I was running, they were 3SDm 0.01 and weighed a ton.
If I was to ever go to 18s again I would go OEM audi wheels or something lightweight like OZ or Team Dynamics Pro Race.
However, if its looks your after, they looked amazing.

I've ran 19" rims for almost 10 years on my S3, even tracked it a few times in between. Basically, by running wider and lower profile tyres on the rear, you increase grip, and with the S3's inherited under steering chassis, the last thing you want is more grip at the back, which increases your turning circle, and makes it handle poor, especially at low speed. I've gone towards a fast road setup in recent years, so ditched the 19s and put some BBS 18s on, and it's much better, especially around a race track.

Comes down to what you want from your car at the end of the day.

I run 17x9s with 245/40/17s all round? From memory, the rear is ET20 and front is ET15 (to clear 6 pots). I'm about to fit 255/40/17s which will be super tight to say the least (couldn't get 245/40/17s in AD08Rs when I ordered). That said I get no rubbing on the 245s which is crazy given there's about 15mm clearance on the front to the wing. I run H&R RSS Clubsports though which are super firm, plus 2.5 degrees camber front, 1 degree rear. Handles great but then I've done a fair bit suspension wise.

You're hanging around too many service stations, JoJo. Looks a bit suspicious if you ask me...

Jojo, the lowering caps, is that front and rear, and what sort of difference do they make to the ride height?

Fronts, FK don't list them for the S3, so I got TT ones, same thing really. I just wanted my front end a bit lower to drop the centre of gravity, I think it only drops it by 5mm. They are silly money now, I paid £25 for them, I'm not sure why?, but they are over a grand on eBay! Lol

That's some serious inflation. When you had the eibachs on your car, you said you weren't happy with them, Why? Was it just ride height, or the way they handled? Did you use the rear spring pads that come with the eibachs?

Ride height at the front was the main issue for me, but the ride comfort was really good with them on. I paid to have them fitted, and I think they left the spring pads out!
