4.8s
Isn't that a bit (actually a lot) optimistic? Even S3s with big turbos fail to meet that time.
I'd go so far as to say it's no possible...not just optimistic.
Caineys seriously modded TT complete with lengthened 2nd, big turbo and Nitrous only does that...and it's running 420BHP+ genuine, in a car with serious traction mods and a driver that is VERY good at getting his car off the line.
Under 5 seconds to 60 and 12.x over the quarter...I know because I was being left behind by him - in my 911!
4.8 in an S3 with a standard gearbox is pie in the sky...just not possible, in my view.
I'd suggest 5.4-5.5 is about spot on for a 270 BHP /300 lb-ft S3 with a competant driver...
And about 5.9-6.0 for a basic re-map.
Both suffer because of the gearbox.
The change to 3rd is what cripples the S3...so unless you have an engine that revs to 7700ish with a big turbo, or a longer 2nd gear, you can't do 60 in second...and tha change costs you 0.5 seconds due to the clunky gearbox.
I've driven an S3 that 'did' an early 5 second 0-60 and a 12.99 quarter...apparently with 280 BHP and 299 lb-ft...and next to mine it felt like somebody had stolen the turbo...
So the BHP/Torque figures were about as good as the 1/4 mile and 0-60 figures. That is to say...utter crap.
