Is there any difference apart from the s-line badge on the side skirts? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

It was about from mid 2003 that Audi brought out the Quattro GmbH factory body kit. My car is Sept '04 (54).

    Here's my car

When you guys talk of 54 or 53 what are you referring to? The month of production counting from the first month of production for the B6?

DS, it's the year the car was first registered in the UK. The system was changed in September 2001. It works like this----

    XX 55 XXX

The first two letters are an area code (London is LV - LX - LY etc)

The numbers are the year - see below.

    The last three are random.

    Sept 01 - Mar 02 = 51
    Mar 02 - Sept 02 = 02
    Sept 02 - Mar 03 = 52
    Mar 03 - Sept 03 = 03
    Sept 03 - Mar 04 = 53
    Mar 04 - Sept 04 = 04
    Sept 04 - Mar 05 = 54
    Mar 05 - Sept 05 = 05
    Sept 05 - Mar 06 = 55
    Mar 06 - Sept 06 = 06 .......And so on.

    Take a look here

    Ah, thanks BUB.

I was watching Fifth Gear the other day and saw that Number plates is a big business in the UK. I can't believe some plates sell for over 2000 quid over there.

We can get personalized number plates here in the US for under 25quid! Sorry to hear it's so freaking expensive over there.

Hey you should be so lucky, in Ireland we only get a county option. Being from Cork I always had mine like YY-C-RAND where YY is the year and RAND is any random number, but now my A4 is a Tipperary reg, 01-TN-RAND, and to change to a Cork reg is a lot of cash.

I'm sticking with it as it keeps me under cover in Cork.

£2000 and the rest, you can pay silly money for number plates.
