    Hi,

Had my S3 for a couple of weeks and its great :icon_thumright:. Got a quick question about running temps though.

Had my car in an Audi specialist this week getting the cambelt etc done and I asked them to check the temp out because its only running at 70-75 when driving, when they tested it they said when they left it running in the workshop it went straight to 90, I kinda new this as i'd tested it on the drive but really wasn't in the mood for a debate lol

Anyway my question is, what could be causing it to only be getting to 70-75 when driving, but it will hit 90 fine when sat idle, generally if I let it get to 90 when idling then it wont drop below when I drive it but if I just get in and go for a drive 75 is about as high as it will get??

Any idea's, pretty much thinking thermostat but could do with a second opinion but for I go and buy one.

    Thanks

    Ian

it's most certainly a thermostat, but there are at least 2 threads on this page about the same problem, please search next time, people dont like giving the same advice time after time....
